Hi everyone and welcome to my ChairLeaders fundraising page. Callum MacQuarrie, of the Inverness County Accessibility Committee, asked me if I would consider taking part in the event as part of Mobility Awareness Month. I didn't hesitate to offer my help and I thank you in advance for your support of this worthy cause.
As most of you know, I am the sports editor at The Inverness Oran newspaper. A Cape Bretoner from North Sydney originally, I have been in Inverness for 28 years now, having raised a family and bought a home during that time. I am a volunteer firefighter, a baseball umpire, league statistician for the Cape Breton West High School Hockey League, a harness racing fan, a dog lover, and believe the best place to be in the summer is on Inverness Beach.
