Chair Leaders

Ashley's Fundraising Page

Hello Everyone,

I'm pleased to announce I will be participating in this year's chair-leaders fundraiser. I have pledged that on May 30th i will be in a wheelchair for the day to better understand the rectrictions those with mobility issues face everyday. Whether you know someone who has suffered spinal cord injuries or has restricted mobility, chances are you or someone you know will have mobility issues within your lifetime. So donate generously as the CPA NS is a fantastic organization that provides support and services to those with mobility restrictions.

More about me

I have been employed with a local architecture firm for more than a decade and part of my job is making sure our designs meet current municipal and national accessibility standards. I believe that every new development and renovated structure should provide an all-inclusive / universal design wherever possible. It is excited to see new developments such as "The Keep" set a new standard for the street, ensuring every commercial retailer provides a hassel free entrance. Spaces that are equipped with automatic push operators and easy transitions from sidewalk to business. the CPA NS have personally assisted me in ensuring that HRM, developers and the public are more aware of the need to pay attention to universal design. I am proud and honored to take part in this year's chair- leaders fund raiser and hope that everyone will pitch in to support this great organization.
